Welcoming Metastatic Mammas to The Heroes Haven

Living with metastatic cancer can mean navigating appointments, treatment, uncertainty and everything that comes alongside them. It can also feel difficult to find a space where you can simply be yourself and spend time with people who genuinely understand.

This October, we’re delighted to welcome Metastatic Mammas to The Heroes Haven for a special in-person meet-up for mums living beyond a stage 4 cancer diagnosis.

The session offers a chance to step away from appointments and routines for a little while, catch your breath, share experiences and connect with other mums who understand the realities of living with metastatic cancer.

About the session

Metastatic Mammas began as a WhatsApp group, creating a space for mums living with metastatic cancer to connect, talk openly and support one another.

This will be their first time meeting together at The Heroes Haven, and we’re so pleased to be joining forces to create a welcoming space for the group to come together in person.

Alongside the conversation, we’ll be serving complimentary barista-made lattes, cappuccinos and hot chocolates, with delicious pastries on us.

This meet-up is an opportunity to spend time with mums who share an experience that can sometimes feel difficult to explain to others. Whether you want to talk, listen, laugh, meet someone new or simply have a coffee in good company, you’re welcome.

This session is for mums living beyond a stage 4 cancer diagnosis who feel that Metastatic Mammas could be the right support group for them.

Whether you’re already part of the Metastatic Mammas community or are discovering the group for the first time, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
