The Heroes Virtual Coffee Club
A safe space to connect, share and feel understood after cancer.
A free monthly online community for anyone affected by cancer — whether you are newly diagnosed, going through treatment, adjusting after treatment, or supporting someone you love.
You don’t have to face cancer alone
A cancer diagnosis can change everything, not just physically, but emotionally too.
The hardest moments are often the ones people don’t always see: the uncertainty, the changes to confidence, the impact on relationships, the worries about the future, and the challenge of finding your new normal.
The Heroes Virtual Coffee Club was created to provide a welcoming space where people affected by cancer can come together, share experiences and connect with others who truly understand.
Whether you want to talk, listen, ask questions or simply spend time with people who “get it” — you are welcome here.
What is the Heroes Virtual Coffee Club?
The Heroes Virtual Coffee Club is a relaxed monthly online gathering hosted by our lovely facilitators, Sam and Louise.
Each session creates space for honest conversations around life with and beyond cancer — from emotional challenges and everyday worries to confidence, identity and adjusting to life after treatment.
This is a community where you can arrive exactly as you are.
What can you expect?
A relaxed online gathering from the comfort of your own home
Honest conversations with people who understand
A welcoming and supportive community without judgement
The opportunity to share your experience, listen to others, or simply be present
There is no pressure to speak, no expectation to have your camera on, and no obligation to share anything you don’t feel comfortable discussing.
Join in whatever way feels right for you.
Who is it for?
The Heroes Virtual Coffee Club is open to anyone affected by cancer, including:
✓ People who have recently been diagnosed
✓ People currently going through treatment
✓ People finishing treatment and adjusting to life afterwards
✓ People living with the ongoing emotional impact of cancer
✓ Family members and carers looking for connection and support
Whatever stage of your journey you are at, you are welcome.
Why join?
Cancer can sometimes feel lonely, especially when the appointments finish and the world expects you to move on.
The Heroes Virtual Coffee Club offers something different, a place to connect with people who understand, where you don’t have to explain everything you’ve been through.
A place to share, listen and feel less alone.
Hosted by Wigs for Heroes
Created by Wigs for Heroes, the charity supporting people affected by cancer-related hair loss and the wider emotional impact of cancer.
Our mission has always been about more than hair, it is about confidence, connection and community.
