Welcome and thank you for visiting Wigs for Heroes.
We are a grass roots charity located in the heart of Tottenham, North London. Our aim is to support people undergoing cancer treatment in the local communities in the UK. This could be in the form of a wig grant*, pamper bags, cancer support workshops, events/meet ups, online support groups, coffee club socials or simply via the provision of helpful online resources and video tutorials.
What we aim to achieve
We want to be able to support anyone facing financial difficulties with buying a wig by offering Wig Grants that can be used with NHS partnered providers*
We want to be able to work within our local community to change conversations about cancer
We want to be able to offer support and information through our online support groups and event meet ups
We want to be able to offer advice and link people undergoing cancer treatment to local resources to help them navigate their way through diagnosis and treatment
*Wig Grants are now being offered to patients being treated at North Middlesex Hospital only. Applications are now being undertaken. Please note applicants may need to be able to provide proof of earnings and diagnosis if requested.
Please note our Wigs Grants will are only valid at participating and NHS approved suppliers listed on the application form. Wigs for Heroes cannot not be held responsible for any loss or damages after grant has been processed.
