The festive season can be a wonderful time of year, but it can also bring added pressures, expectations and challenges, particularly when living with or beyond cancer.
Join us for a relaxed virtual Coffee Club as we take a moment to talk about looking after ourselves during what can be one of the busiest times of the year. We'll explore the expectations that often come with the festive period, how these might feel when cancer is part of the picture, and the importance of giving ourselves permission to do things differently.
We'll also share what the holidays look like for different people, exploring the traditions, cultures and customs that make this time of year special. It's always fascinating to hear how others celebrate, or choose not to, and to share the different ways we find meaning and enjoyment during the season.
As always, this is an informal, welcoming space to connect, share experiences, listen and enjoy a friendly chat with others who understand.
A welcoming space to connect
The Heroes Virtual Coffee Club brings people affected by cancer together for friendly, supportive online conversations. It’s a chance to meet others, exchange experiences and talk about the things that matter to you, without any pressure or expectations.
You can join the conversation, ask questions, listen or simply enjoy being part of a community where you feel understood. However you choose to take part, you’ll be welcomed just as you are.
Who is this for?
Our Virtual Coffee Club is open to anyone affected by cancer, of any cancer type, anywhere in the UK, and welcomes people of all genders.
Whether you’re finishing treatment, adjusting to life beyond cancer, managing ongoing side effects or receiving continued therapies, you’re welcome to join. You don’t need to have all the answers or even know what you want to talk about. Just come along as you are.
